procrastination

Why oh why do I procratinate? I just spent the last 6 hours researching for this unit plan that I have to do. Did I write anything formal? No. Did I write my philosophy statement? No. I have convinced myself that I did this to myself becuase I just don’t want college to end . . . but wait, I do. I don’t know. It’s so confusing. I have a little family down here that I just don’t want to leave for my real family. I hope that we all stay in contact through student teaching and beyond. I’m talking about my co-hort of course. It is so interesting to me that we all randomly chose this class 2 years ago and it just all worked out. No drama, just laughs. I’m sorry that I didn’t hang out with them as much as I should have. Then there is the Spurlock gang. Don’t even get me started . . .
Ok positive thinking. . . at the end of the semester I will have time to do stuff for me. That means I will finally join the park district gym and get this body in shape. I will learn something new everyday. Just because I’m going home doesn’t mean that I’m going back to the same home that was there 4.5 years ago. I’ll get to get to know my sister more as she grows up. (geez) I’ll get to know my whole family more and hang out with old friends. It will be good, not great, but who knows?
This post was inspired by Katie and Steph‘s recent entries. Thanks for the inpiration.

Well we will always have AIM to stay in touch and share ideas/stories about student teaching! Thanks a lot for driving me last semester to Jefferson. Good luck this last week and a half.
