whew, what a week

So week one of student teaching is now out the window. Just 13 more to go. I am realizing that I am one of the few that was thrown into taking full control of the classroom so soon. Since Wednesday I have been the one in charge. I love all of my classes. Some are more challenging than others, but it all works out.
The thing that is thowing me off the most is my sleep schedule. I’m up at 5 every morning and I’m falling asleep by 9. It’s like clockwork. This morning I slept in to 6:45. It was the best I could do.
So far I have learned that teaching is really what I want to do with my life. It is really hard work, but the rewards are so great. And once I have a real teaching job I can take days off. Woo hoo for that! Speaking of which, I cannot wait until Presidents Day. We get that off from school!!
All in all things are good. I had the students write about overpopulation and whether there was anything that can be done to slove this problem. I got some pretty creative responses. It was great.
Ok, well, now I have to start planning next week. At least I can do that in my pajamas.

That’s so awesome! You’re leading the future! Keep up the good work. I’m sure you’ll come up with some really great ideas for your kids.
