friends

I was searching the web today. I feel bad because I don’t really have time for much else than teaching these days. I found this: a confessional window. I think it sums up everything I want to say.

You know I would worry too much about being so busy. I think you’re retaining a lot of guilt over your friends’ impressions of you but this is your life. You have to do what’s best for you and if this where you need to be right now, than that’s just that. I was disheartened when you said your friends are mad at you for being so busy. I certainly hope you don’t think I’m mad. This year is the foundation of your career and if people can’t understand that, then they’re stupid (and most likely don’t have a career of their own and are just jealous–so spit on them!). Keep up the great work. You’re an amazing person and truly going to be a wonderful teacher. =)

Ginny – Thanks for the kind words. I am teaching four classes of freshmen.
Miss Luscious Luka – Thanks for being so understanding and such a great friend. You always know what to say to keep me grounded. You too are a wonderful person and are going to be a great editor/singer songwriter/master knitter or whatever you end up being!

That’s kinda amazing actually. She summed up how I’ve felt since I started college. Glad(?) to know that’s how you feel too! heh.
Miss you!
