sleeping

Sleeping is what I should be doing, but I’m not.
I have recently become yet again obsessed with flickr and spend most of my free time looking at photos and having camera envy. Maybe I’ll take a photography class.
Lately I’ve been thinking about the big question, you know . . . “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and I’ve landed on one conclusion. I need to start my own company, preferably a non-profit. I need to create something that will give back to the world. When I think about it that is at the core of why I decided to become a teacher, to make a difference. It turns out that teaching just wasn’t right for me. I have great ideas and I could teach well, but it just didn’t fit at nicely as I wanted it to. In a way I guess I’m lucky that no real teaching job ever panned itself out. Then I’d be suck doing something I was capable of doing, but just not really what I wanted to do. So that’s the plan to learn what I can from the job I’m at now and then just do it, take the plunge and start my own something.
